For the prerequisites, merit badge requirements 1, 2, 8, and 9 will require work before the event. You will need to:
- Bring a manufactured item from their home to talk about
- Research an engineering achievement. Who were the engineers that made it happen, what did they have to overcome, and how did it influence the world?
- Study the Engineer's Code of Ethics: https://www.asce.org/-/media/asce-images-and-files/career-and-growth/ethics/documents/asce-code-ethics.pdf How does it compare to the Scout Oath and Scout Law
- Find three engineering job opportunities. Pick one and research its education, training, and experience requirements. Why might it interest you?
