How Is OLLI at OSU Funded?

How Do I Become an OLLI Member?
You must be an OLLI member to enroll in any OLLI courses. OLLI memberships operate on a rolling basis and last for one year; memberships purchased this fall, for example, will last through fall, spring, and summer. Membership dues are paid annually and entitle the holder to participate in courses as well as social events, travel opportunities, special events, and OLLI committees.
Memberships may not be shared or transferred to another party; however, OLLI members are strongly encouraged to bring guests. Just let your local coordinator know your guest’s name at check in (please know that guest passes do not apply to travel courses or those with materials fees – all attendees must register in those cases so that expenses are covered). Each guest may visit one time per year without purchasing a membership.
You can join OLLI at any time; when joining mid-session, your membership will be for the remainder of that session plus the following two, as all memberships span 3 consecutive sessions.

Why Teach for OLLI?
OLLI members are brilliant, curious, and a joy to spend time with. If you volunteer as an instructor for OLLI, you'll have the opportunity to share your unique expertise and/or passions. Whether it's your phenomenal gardening skills or a niche professional knowledge base, we'd love to hear from you!
For OSU faculty, OLLI is a great place to pilot new courses, share your latest research, and gather input on emerging ideas. Our members come from a wide array of backgrounds and draw from an amazing breadth of experiences, so they ask the best questions and offer valuable insights.
How do I Apply to Teach for OLLI?
In our digital Course Catalog, under the category “Get involved” you’ll find our “Teach with OLLI” link. Complete the course proposal form found there.
