Peace Corps Panel Discussion
The Peace Corps is a U.S. volunteer program that trains and sends volunteers around the world to work with global communities and promote intercultural friendship and understanding. Many OLLI at Pitt members have served as Peace Corps Volunteers in several different decades since the program’s founding in 1961 by President John F. Kennedy. Join this online session to find out what life was really like as a Peace Corps Volunteer! Participants will learn about the countries where volunteers served and gain insight on the personal and regional impacts that Peace Corps service provides.
