Reading Pearl Buck: The Good Earth and More

Winner of the 1932 Pulitzer Prize for Best Novel and the 1938 Nobel Prize for Literature, Pearl S. Buck was one of the most widely read and celebrated authors of the 20th century. During this course, we will read and discuss two of her novels to gain insight into her writing style and to learn more about Buck’s literary and personal legacies. Please join us for an in-depth exploration of two completely different works of fiction, The Good Earth and Command the Morning by this remarkable writer and global citizen.
