Tuesday Session 2
Germany: From Occupation to Unification
This year’s 35th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall presents us with the perfect opportunity to witness the striking transformation of Germany, from a brutal belligerent dictatorship to a flourishing and pacifist democracy. This course will be a fascinating discussion of how Europe’s most populous nation fared in the last eight decades. We will begin our exploration in the pivotal year 1945 and go to the present, allowing us to gain a deep understanding of German history, politics, and society.
