30181 Democracy: Its Origins and Awakenings   NEW!

Read and discuss selected chapters in Of the People and By the People (2011) by Roger Osborne. Each historical period covered in the text will focus on the challenging issues relating to a particular awakening. When possible, class discussion will also touch on implications for modern democratic practice. Used copies of the text may be purchased inexpensively online.
