30570 The Global Challenge of New Refugees and Immigrants: Accelerating Success

As a Mexican immigrant now U.S. citizen, Hector E. Garcia created models with government and community colleagues which led to the publication of a U.S. Guide for New Immigrants by the Citizenship & Immigration Services and a dialogue format used by Department of Homeland Security in community meetings across the nation. In this course, learn about strategies to accelerate the process through which immigrants become fully contributing members to American society and reduce potential conflicts within their new communities. Learn as well about theories to reduce migration from poor nations and better address other challenges of globalization through a collaborative worldview.
