10449 Contemporary Art and National Identity - OLLI Scholar - New   NEW!

Explore the ways contemporary artists investigate concepts of national identity, nationalism, and citizenship in an era of global commerce and international art markets. Look closely at works from international artists that examine the visual features and contextual frameworks of national identity formation, including cultural traditions, territory, land and borders, national symbols, and legal definitions. Consider various new media techniques as well as types of display such as art biennials.
