10458 The ABC of It: Why Children's Books Matter - New LATE START DATE - New   NEW!

This class will be divided into 3 segments exploring the foundations of the publishing of children’s books, how books get into the hands of children, and the art of children’s books using the physical exhibit of manuscripts, rare books, and original art at the Elmer L. Andersen Library as the living text. Lisa Von Drasek, associate librarian and curator of the Children’s Literature Research Collections that includes the Kerlan Collection. Lisa comments on children’s books, curriculum, and reviews at The Blue Ox Review. She has served on the Newbery, Caldecott, and National Book Award juries.
