Color in Watercolor    NEW!

In this class I introduce students to the Josef Albee’s color theory that is still taught at Yale University today. The premise is that one color by itself is a literal color, i.e. red tomato, but as two or more colors are placed in close proximity they influence each other based on their relative distance on the color wheel. We will do some problem solving but primarily work from real objects in a still life format. Working with the transparent color in watercolor we can vary color intensity and value. Note: Suggested reading: Josef Albers: Interaction of Color..
