What Was I Thinking? - Decision Making and the Brain

We like to think we use logic to make decisions. But research from neuroscience, psychology and behavioral economics suggests we're less rational than we think. We are subject to inherent biological brain limits, faulty memory, strong emotions, and mental biases. This course explores what really happens as we make decisions. Through films clips, exercises, case studies, and group discussion, we'll explore how our brains work, often unconsciously, to integrate reason and emotion and make decisions. We'll explore decision making traps and we’ll look at steps we can take to improve our decision making.
