Irvin Yalom on Psychotherapy
NEW!
Irvin Yalom (b 1931) is an existential psychiatrist and emeritus professor of psychiatry at Stanford University. His work explores the four ultimate concerns of our lives: death, freedom, isolation, and meaninglessness. In this course we shall examine two different sides of Yalom's written work: his case histories which go to the heart of the therapeutic encounter and some of his fiction works which are steeped in romantic German philosophy.
