Growing A Greener Garden   NEW!

Gardeners are important players in the management of our ecosystems and the protection of our natural resources. Faced with loss of habitat and strain on our waterways, we need to rethink the way we maintain our landscapes. This course will explore three aspects of responsible, sustainable landscape management. Class 1: Recommended turf choices for this area and best practices for maintaining an eco-friendly lawn. Class 2: Using native shrubs to solve common landscape problems, add beauty to your property and provide habitat for birds and other wildlife. Class 3: The best perennial choices for this area, including what to plant for season-long interest and best plant selections for attracting bees, butterflies and other pollinators.
