The human success story is a remarkable one. A runt of a creature--hairless, claw-less, tail-less, fang-less, and sporting a head far too heavy to carry except in an upright position--spread out from the savanna of Africa to conquer the world. In order to do so, mankind had to use his intellect, tools, and skills to bend nature, often unwillingly, to his will. Up until now, Mother Nature has accepted mankind's intrusion, as it was merely the growing pains of yet another of her children, but she is finally beginning to fight back? Is she telling us, in her subtle way, that it's time for us to leave or grow up?
