Charlottesville Then and Now: Reshaping Our Story   NEW!

As issues of race, prejudice, and privilege dominate national media and political debate, our local schools struggle to close the academic achievement gaps that exist between students. Closing these gaps depends not only on our current and future efforts, but also understanding how the past has shaped the present. This one-day course will feature a panel discussion featuring community leaders and those who remember this turbulent time describing the effects of integration in both our schools and neighborhoods and how our story today is shaped by events of our past.
