Memorial to Enslaved Laborers at UVA: Researching Descendants of the Enslaved   NEW!

This course will provide an overview of the Memorial to Enslaved Laborers at UVA and tips on how to conduct logical genealogical research in finding descendants of those ancestors who were enslaved. Included will be a basic understanding of the genealogy research and process, along with knowing the law and finding records and resources that are available. Attendees also will be introduced to research strategies such as SO WHAT! and building public/private trees and timelines.
