This course will explore the people, places, and cultures that combined to create one of the most sophisticated styles of music. From Ragtime to Rock, from New Orleans to New York, class participants will gain a broad knowledge of Jazz through informative and entertaining lectures, video and audio examples, and live music demonstrations.
