Montpelier    NEW!

Join us for a special outing to James Madison's Montpelier! The half-day experience includes: 

  • Signature Tour of the house that touches on Madison the man, the Constitution and Bill of Rights, slavery, and Dolley Madison. 

  • A guided tour of The Mere Distinction of Colour exhibit, which is the culmination of years of archaeological and historical research discussing slavery's influence on, and the contributions of the enslaved to, the founding of our country. 

  • A talk in Claude Moore Hall by the Archaeology department which is being coordinated through the Center for the Constitution. 

  • A delicious lunch 

  • Take-home a pocket Constitution for reference!?  

Join us for a tour of James Madison’s mansion and The Mere Distinction of Colour exhibit, lunch, then a 60-minute program with a speaker. Includes a notebook, pen and pocket Constitution for each guest.
