This course will be an up close and personal view of what it was like for Americans to be in active combat in Vietnam. Topics to be explored are the draft, military training, arrival in Vietnam, the daily existence of combat troops, tactics, the Vietnamese, death, coming home, and the impact of combat on one's life. Additionally, we will discuss the similarities of Vietnam and Afghanistan. Videos will be utilized that are graphic, contain harsh language and generate strong emotions.
