Explore the unique complexities of watercolor in relation to creating eye-catching landscapes during this 3-week workshop.

Participants will explore various watercolor methods, including color theory, washes and wet-on-wet and wet-on-dry approaches.

This session is geared toward both beginner and intermediate students.
All high-quality art supplies are included.  However if you have your favorite paints and brushes you like to use, please do so.

Plein Air painting is the act of painting outdoors or directly from nature. During this workshops we will cover the fundamentals of Plein Air, including design principles for finding a good composition, together with simplifying a complex scene.

We will start with sketching a composition, and then proceed to learning watercolor techniques including layering to develop our Plein Air. We will gather in the Kitsap Art classroom to get started, and then move to Silverdale Waterfront Park to find our scene.
