Learn how to transform old unwanted and discarded clothing and fabrics into beautiful rugs, through the art of weaving. Our experienced instructor will guide you through the process, from selecting materials, to creating your own unique rug. This hands-on workshop is perfect for beginners and experienced weavers alike.

Felicia will share her techniques for upcycling old clothing into functional, useful, and beautiful rag rugs.
She will help her students contemplate which colors and textures work best to weave these artful rugs while learning traditional basic weaving skills.
Students will each go home with their very own hand woven 2.5’ x 3’ approximately sized rug that will feel like a ‘magic carpet ride’! If you want to learn how to keep used clothing and other textiles out of landfills, then you will appreciate this workshop.
All materials will be supplied, however, if you have a special piece of clothing or fabric you would like woven into your rug, do bring it!

Learn the art of preparing delicious sourdough bread in this hands-on workshop. Baking bread is both science and craft and you'll learn the secrets to creating delicious and crusty loaves.
This workshop will cover creating and nurturing a sourdough starter, tools and equipment, ingredients, preparation, preparing for baking and troubleshooting. We will sample a variety of fresh sourdough loaves to talk about variations in taste and texture.
During the workshop, we will mix, prep, and shape dough to take and bake at home the following day.
Your class fee includes a glass jar with sourdough starter, a proofing basket to use and keep, plus written instructions and recipes.
At home, you will need a Dutch oven or roasting pan with lid that can be safely heated to 450 degrees.
For Class: Please bring the following supplies to class:
1) a large mixing bowl
2) a kitchen towel
3) an apron (optional). We will have spatulas, scales, measuring cups, etc. for class use.

Learn to create a handmade hardbound journal with cardboard, cord and beautiful paper. After you assemble the cover, you'll learn simple bookbinding techniques to sew together a stack of thick, unlined paper to the cover using the Coptic binding method.
It's paper-craft meets sewing! Finished books measure 5x7 and hold up to 60 sheets.
Use your handmade book as a journal, recipe book, photo album and more. All materials included, but you may wish to bring some favorite scrapbook paper (card stock thickness) for the cover. We will have many paper options available so you can personalize your book.

A paper art compilation workshop that teaches how to create a junk journal: construction and decoration, signature creation and binding, individual page collages, pockets, tuck spots and inserts, embellishments. The instructor will supply students with the materials, and students are asked to bring their own scissors and ruler. Persons 16 years and under must be accompanied by an adult.
This workshop will introduce you to the art of books in a relaxed and fun environment. We will start by creating a couple small pamphlet journals- learning the stitching and trying different combinations of papers.
Then we will explore more elaborate combinations and stitches. This workshop is a great opportunity to use up some paper you have been saving, recycle those old bills or envelopes, and create a journal that doesn’t have scary “blank pages”!

Start by making oven-baked English muffins from scratch. You can shape them by hand or use English muffin rings if you have them. These homemade muffins are the perfect vessel for eggs Benedict—a holiday breakfast favorite. While they bake, you’ll work with a rich brioche dough. We’ll make the cinnamon roll filling together, then roll, fill, and shape the rolls to freeze and bake later.
