In this hands‑on class, we’ll break down the ingredients, brewing techniques, and fermentation practices that set session beers apart from other styles. You’ll explore grain bills, yeast choices, and tricks of the trade used to keep flavor high and ABV low. Then roll up your sleeves for practical experience with processes like dry hopping and beer transferring—complete with tastings along the way. Finish your day with a guided, formal tasting and a behind‑the‑scenes facility tour.
 

Through a combination of hands-on practice, guided instruction, and discussion, participants will learn how to recognize and respond to choking, perform infant CPR, and take appropriate action in high-stress situations. In addition to emergency response skills, this class emphasizes prevention and everyday safety. 

Topics include safe feeding practices, choking prevention, safe sleep, car seat safety, Poison Control, and common household risks. 

Participants will engage in hands-on skill practice using infant manikins and will leave with practical, easy-to-understand techniques that can be applied in real-life situations.

Homesteading Basics is an introductory course designed for individuals interested in developing practical skills for small-scale, self-sufficient Homesteading. 

Participants in this course will examine essential homesteading subjects, including selecting suitable small animal livestock, basic animal husbandry techniques, and considerations for housing and feeding, while also managing time and costs effectively and integrating sustainable practices into daily routines.

Individuals attending the program will develop an understanding of the realistic requirements for starting homesteading activities in the Pacific Northwest, specifically focusing on small-acreage and backyard-scale operations. 

The focus will be on practical decision-making while avoiding common beginner mistakes and developing manageable systems for long-term success.
