Our Non-Credit E-File Nail Training course is designed for licensed cosmetologists and nail technicians looking to expand their professional skill set through advanced electric file (e-file) techniques. This hands-on course provides training in e-file safety, sanitation, nail preparation, shaping, cuticle work, product removal, and basic nail enhancement techniques using professional-grade equipment. The course emphasizes industry best practices, efficiency, and client safety while helping professionals build confidence and refine their technical abilities. Participants registering for the course must hold an active cosmetology or nail technician license.

Please note: This course requires a minimum number of enrolled students to run; if the minimum enrollment is not met, the course will be cancelled and all registered students will receive a full refund. Otero College (OC) reserves the right to cancel or reschedule any event. This non-credit continuing education course is designed for licensed cosmetologists and estheticians seeking to expand their advanced skincare service offerings. Participants will receive hands-on training in manual resurfacing techniques, including microdermabrasion and dermaplaning. The course reviews indications and contraindications, proper tool use, and best practices to achieve effective, results-driven treatments.

Hands On Models: 6-8 (3-4 modles per service)*

**There are some courses/activities that may require an instructor and/or fellow classmate to demonstrate the appropriate technique for safe acquisition of the skill being taught. The demonstration may involve physical contact/touching between a student and instructor or between two students, as reasonably necessary to provide instruction on the technique. If a student prefers to not be touched in the process of learning a skill, the student may make that request to the instructor.
