This course provides the basic theory and principles of electricity, pneumatics, and electrical control of HVAC Equipment for residential, commercial, and industrial applications. This course is meant to educate and emphasize the importance of understanding electricity, both low and high voltage (12-120 volts), and how it pertains to the direct and efficient operation of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment. This course is for the student interested in one of the exciting trades involving HVAC, Temperature Controls, Building Automation, and/or Building Energy Management Systems.
