Commercial pet food is loaded with fillers, highly processed ingredients and other chemicals that can lead to a variety of health problems for your pets. Excessive scratching, licking, skin irritations, digestive distress and even some behavior problems can be caused by processed pet foods. In this class we will discuss how to make a variety of healthy DIY pet foods for dogs, cats, fish, reptiles and birds, including recipes using real food ingredients that you can prepare raw, cooked, baked, canned and dehydrated. Class includes a handout, samples and eBook.

Explore the world of herbs and herbal medicine with our intensive Herbalist Certificate Program. Learn the historical and biochemical aspects of plant-based medicine to improve diet and health planning. Each module covers a body system, related herbs, herbalist history, botany, biochemistry, nutrition, herbal preparations, creating blends, and energetic theories. The program consists of 15 modules divided into three sections: Modules 1-5 (Fall 2025), Modules 6-10 (Winter 2026), and Modules 11-15 (Spring 2026). Please note that the cost is $649 per quarter. Total cost for the certificate is $1947*. Each 4-hour in-person module includes lectures and hands-on product creation, along with 2-4 hours of at-home coursework. There will be a test at the end of each section, culminating in a final exam after the last module. Upon completion and test submission, you will receive a certificate of completion. Gain the knowledge to start a career in the natural medicine industry, launch your own business or product line, or enhance your current profession. In addition, your instructor will guide you on your path and help with a personalized business plan.
**Please note that you can start this certificate any quarter. You do NOT have to start Fall quarter.

Ready to loosen up and let go of perfection? In this Beginning Abstract watercolor workshop, we'll explore color, shape, and texture using watercolor, then layer in playful marks with crayons and markers. This class is all about experimenting, trusting the process, and discovering what happens when you mix materials and let creativity lead. The supply list is the same as usual, with a few additions: titanium white watercolor paint, Micron markers (sizes 8 and 3), and several crayons in medium-tone colors such as white, orange, pink, light blue, and purple. In this course, students will learn how to write empathetic heroes, believable villains, interesting side-characters, and colorful bit-players. Students will also explore how to balance character arcs across a story and ensure every character feels authentic to their role. By the end of the course, writers will have the tools to bring their stories to life through unforgettable characters.
