    This is messy fun! Participants will make their own mosaic stepping stone by affixing colorful Talavera tiles to a 12” concrete paver. No artistic background or previous skill is needed. You will take your completed paver with you – a great accent for garden or patio. $15 fee payable to facilitator to cover the cost of supplies.

    Medicare can be both overwhelming and confusing. This class will walk you through Advantage Plans, Medicare Parts A and B, supplements (also called Medigap plans), and drug plans. Whether you are new to Medicare or want to learn more about the program, you should leave the class to be better informed and more confident about your Medicare choices. Kelly Boryca, the facilitator, has been counseling people on Medicare for 14 years as a volunteer for the State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP). There will be plenty of time for Q&A!

I will set up tables for four and six players and we'll spend two hours playing. If you don't know about this collaborative game of strategy and luck, consider taking the beginner Pegs & Jokers class, so you can play with us next time.

    A continuation of winter term, this session will teach beginning Pegs and Jokers along with new strategies for those who were in Winter session. Similar to the games "Sorry" and "Aggravation" but a bit more challenging. The goal is to get from START to HOME with the drawing of cards to activate your moves. Can be played with up to 6 people. Come join us for the fun.

    Learn to play Omaha Hi/Lo 8 or Better poker. You will be introduced to poker terminology, ranking of poker hands, table action, etc. You will learn when to bet, raise and fold. By the end of the class you will have played in live and tournament games for fun and should be comfortable playing at any Omaha Hi/Lo 8 poker table anywhere. Knowledge of playing poker is helpful but not mandatory. It is advantageous if you can attend all (or at least most) of the classes so we'll have a full table.

    6 Crafts in 6 weeks #1 Fabric Painting- I will supply the t-shirt or canvas bag or you can bring in something that you would like paint. #2. Napkin Art- We will learn how to use napkins as art. You can bring napkins or I will supply the napkins and various ways to use napkins. #3 Decopage- You bring a box to decoupage but I will have a few who couldn't find one. #4 Fabric and Cardboard Picture Frames. #5 Making 16 cards at once instead of 1 card at a time. #6 Glass Painting. On top of the OLLI class price, a $35 supply fee is due tot eh facilitator the first day of class.

    Want to get together and play folk songs by the greats from our youth - Peter, Paul & Mary, Bob Dylan, Joan Baez, The Kingston Trio, John Denver, along with folk rock from the Byrds, Simon & Garfunkel and maybe some country/folk by John Prine? This class will be more of a jam session than an instructional event, so you must be able to play basic open guitar chords proficiently. If someone doesn't know how to fingerpick and would like to learn, basic techniques will be taught. Class members are encouraged to bring songs they want to play on acoustic guitar (no electrics, please, or you will get booed like Dylan at Newport.)

    Beloved cellist Yo-Yo Ma has brought great joy to many, many people over a long career! Our celebration honors his unique, radiant spirit and amazing cello wizardry through performances and videos about him. At the heart of our festival is a marvelous performance of Dvorak’s treasured Cello Concerto. In addition, we are focusing on his love of the Bach Suites for solo cello and how he has grown and evolved in his concept of them over his lifetime.

He was a defining presence in film, particularly in the genres of Westerns, crime dramas, and comedies. He had a reputation for authenticity and depth in roles that often depicted ordinary men in extraordinary circumstances. He left an indelible mark on the film industry, making him one of the most respected character actors of his generation. This class will view six of his best films.

These are some of the iconic examples of big budget, huge production, great songs, and of course DANCE! It's Summertime with a SPLASH!     We will explore exactly what Bitcoin is, and why it has gained increasing popularity at this time in our monetary evolution. We will look at the detailed history of money, and discover why Bitcoin potentially solves all of the problems that previous forms of money could not address successfully. We will look at the projected future for Bitcoin as a long term store of value, an appreciating asset, as well as the global unit of account (replacing the US dollar as the world reserve currency). Finally, we will address the most secure & simply ways to buy and store Bitcoin, as you seek to become your own central bank - securing the financial freedom for yourself and the generations to come.

    As long as we keep eating out, there will be restaurants to review. This class provides a chance to share your observations of some of the many restaurants in the general area. We go out to particular eateries individually or with a small group of friends. In a fun exchange during class, reviews are shared and recommendations are provided. A guest speaker is often included, and there always seems to be some food distribution that doesn't disappoint!

    The unique challenges that can arise in relationships between hearing and non-hearing, such as communication barriers, cultural and identity differences, and relationship challenges. Common barriers to communication, including environmental, physical, language, psychological, technological, and cultural barriers. Finally, it provides strategies for improving communication between hearing and non-hearing siblings, such as learning effective communication techniques.
