The Essential Stroke Life Support® (ESLS) Online Provider Course is a self-directed eLearning course designed to teach healthcare providers knowledge for faster stroke recognition and triage for patients that may present outside of a more advanced stroke care setting. ESLS is ideal for basic healthcare providers who may not treat or manage patients with stroke as part of their normal scope of practice.
Description This course is designed to educate learners on how to identify and evaluate stroke as well as conduct the initial management of patients with a suspected stroke. This is an online only course for healthcare professionals not experienced with stroke. The course consists of two parts: 1) adaptive eLearning modules and 2) virtual simulation skills test. Professionals who regularly interact with patients at risk for stroke or would like more advanced information including stroke management should complete the Advanced Stroke Life Support course.
