Course 6 of 6: CBIT 476 - Cyber Defense   

This course will provide an overview of the current cyber defense posture and policies in a national security framework.  Learners will study security governance frameworks, models, and tools that we utilize to help defend networks and their internal systems in most organizations worldwide, with a focus on government entities. You will study the cyber threat environment; laws and policies that govern cybersecurity; current and historical structure, functions, and capabilities of private and governmental agencies comprising the cyber community; and future trends that affect national security.

Credit: Completion of this course earns 4 undergraduate credits from Radford University. Applicability of the undergraduate credit to a degree program may vary.

Prerequisites: In order to add this course, you must have successfully completed:
•    CBIT 100 - Ethics and Laws in Cybersecurity
•    CBIT 101 - Foundations of Cybersecurity
•    CBIT 240 - Data and Web Security
•    CBIT 250 - Network Security
•    CBIT 475 - Penetration Testing and Incident Handling
