The Literacy micro-credential series helps elementary educators strengthen their understanding of effective, research-based literacy instruction for all learners. Participants will explore foundational literacy research, develop a personal philosophy of literacy instruction, and learn practical strategies for supporting students who struggle with reading.
Designed for elementary general education and special education teachers, the series includes two 10-hour professional development micro-credentials focused on literacy foundations and strategies for struggling readers. Each micro-credential may be completed individually and is grounded in research from the What Works Clearinghouse, the Report of the National Reading Panel, and the International Literacy Association.
