This beginner-level course introduces Rivian Resources, Intro to Tooling, and 5S as part of the Launch program, designed to build foundational knowledge for future highly skilled EV technicians. This is a Beginner Class. Curriculum consists of a mixture of Lab/Lecture along with Integrated Internship. Subjects covered in this section are: Basic introduction to Rivian Applications; Ride ¿ How we interface with our vehicles; Quest - Creating and following Quest tickets; Rivian OS ¿ Access management and IT issue reporting; Parts Ordering Process; Service Manual Navigation; Introduction to Theory of Operation; Reading Wiring Diagrams and Using Component Location Tools; Basic Tooling Use; and Introduction proper repair order documentation. The course also includes training on 5S workplace organization (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) to build habits that support safe and efficient service environments.

This is a Beginner Class. Curriculum consists of a mixture of Lab/Lecture along with Integrated Internship. Subjects covered in this section are: Safe Use of Shop Equipment; How to Perform Tire Rotations; Visual Inspections and Measurements; Introduction to Suspension Systems; Overview of Brake System Components; and Basic R&R (Removal and Replacement) Procedures. Students will begin developing the foundational service habits used in daily shop operations.

Subjects covered in this section are: Understanding Ride Height and Its Role in Vehicle Performance; Basic Concepts of Wheel Alignment; Introduction to Steering Angles and Vehicle Handling; and How These Systems Relate to Electric Vehicle Safety and Functionality. This course focuses on building awareness and foundational knowledge to support further hands-on training.

Introduction to Low Voltage & Electrical Fundamentals is part of the M.S.A.T. (Manufacturer Specific Automotive Training) program and is designed to introduce students to the basic concepts of automotive electrical systems. This is a Beginner Class. Curriculum consists of a mixture of Lab/Lecture along with Integrated Internship. Subjects covered in this section are: Basic Electrical Theory and System Overview; Introduction to Wiring Diagrams; Safe and Proper Use of Electrical Testing Tools; Understanding Voltage, Resistance, and Amperage; Identifying Simple Electrical Issues (Opens, Shorts, and High Resistance); and an Overview of Control Devices such as Sensors and Actuators. This course focuses on helping students build a strong foundation in low voltage systems to prepare them for more advanced electrical diagnostics later in their training.

High Voltage Systems ¿ Components and Safety Practices is part of the Launch program and introduces students to the key components and safety procedures involved in high voltage electric vehicle systems. This is a Beginner Class. Curriculum consists of a mixture of Lab/Lecture along with Integrated Internship. Subjects covered in this section are: High Voltage Safety Refresher; Introduction to High Voltage Pack and Its Function; Basic Power-Down Procedures for High Voltage Systems (Non-Diagnostic); Overview of On-Board Charger, AC/DC and DC/DC Converter Functions; Understanding Proximity and Pilot Circuits; and Introduction to High Voltage Fuses. The focus of this course is on developing awareness of major HV components and safety protocols¿not diagnosis or system repair.
