Welding   

Students will learn basic processes regarding Mig and Dual shield welding in flat, horizontal, and vertical positions while learning the basic requirements to weld in a structural or fabrication shop. This 60 hour course is designed for individuals interested in career exploration or advancements and may be repeated.

This 60 hour course is designed for an experienced welder to improve skills and is broken down into 3 different elements with one to be decided by student/instructor during first class.
Choose between:
         Mild steel: Learn to Tig weld Sheet metal, 1/4" plate, and 3/8" plate in flat and vertical positions
         Stainless and Aluminum: Sheet metal Stainless and 1/16th" aluminum welded in flat and vertical positions
         Pipe (will need prior tig experience): Start on open root 3/8" plate to get the basics of open root and walking the cup (leading into open root pipe)

Learn the basics of striking an arc and making structurally sound stick welds on 3/8" and above plates. Practice stick welding using 6010 and 7018 electrodes to weld in all 4 positions on plate. This 60 hour course is designed for individuals interested in career exploration or advancements and may be repeated.
