Life Figure Drawing   

Class Overview

Would you like to move from drawing stick figures to more realistic human figures? Improve your drawing and sketching skills by drawing live models under the guidance of a skilled artist.

Enjoy personalized guidance with your drawing techniques, while honing your observation skills, as well. If you'd like to work on drawing proportions, structure, and movement of the human figure, this class is for you!

This class will help you capture what you are seeing in real life before you and put it down on paper with pencil, creating more accurate and artistic results. The class fee includes model fees for all sessions.

 

Supplies Needed

  • Sketch pad, sizes 18 inches by 24 inches (no larger than) to 11 inches by 14 inches (no smaller than)
  • Mechanical pencil (0.7 or 0.5 millimeters) with B or 2B graphite

 

Learning Objectives

  • Learn the basics of proportion and structure
  • Practice techniques for capturing movement
  • Work on drawings under the guidance of an expert
