Flamenco for Beginners   

Class Overview

¡Olé! Explore the art of Spanish Flamenco dance! Give your body and mind a workout. Boost your endorphins, free yourself from stress and feel alive!

In this fun beginner class, learn how to improve balance, coordination, posture, and gain a renewed sense of confidence. Connect with your body and mind as we explore beginning flamenco dance technique, posture, hand and arm movements, sounds of the feet and choreography in this fun beginner class.

All genders and ages are welcome (see our age policy if you're under 18). Please note this class is for beginners and returning beginners.

Learning Objectives

  • Learn the basic hand and arm movements of Flamenco dance
  • Develop correct postures for the dance
  • Learn the history of Flamenco and some Spanish vocabulary
  • Practice body awareness and self-expression
  • Get healthy exercise
  • Have fun in a supportive learning environment
