After survival, being treated with dignity is our most powerful motivator. Dignity opens the way to greater inner peace and to a harmonious interpersonal and community life. Violating someone’s dignity leads to acrimony, divorce, war. We’ll draw on psychology and personal experience to identify the elements of dignity, what dignity violations are, how to respond effectively when not treated with dignity, how dignity can restore a broken relationship, why leaders must offer dignity, and more.
