Join OLLI member Rosemary Cameron, a friend and colleague of Doug McConnell’s for the last 20 years, as they discuss the evolution of Doug’s media career and how he has adapted it to the changing television media landscape over the years. Learn what it takes to get a locally produced series on network television today, hear some of his favorite, comical and perhaps scary stories from filming segments for his shows and who and what inspires and motivates him today after broadcasting news and insights on the outdoor world for half a century. Doug will also share his encyclopedic knowledge of great outdoor adventures in the Bay Area and the West, as well as worldwide to learn his favorite places to visit and tips on travel near and far for yourself.
