ABYC Certifications

  • ABYC Marine Standards Certification

  • The ABYC Standards Certification course provides a comprehensive introduction to the standards that guide the best practices in the design, construction, installation, and maintenance of recreational boats. These standards are widely recognized across the marine industry and are routinely referenced by surveyors, builders, technicians, and insurance underwriters.

This one-week course focuses on how ABYC Standards are structured, how to navigate them efficiently, and how they are applied in the marine industry. Participants will learn to interpret standards related to vessel systems, boat safety, and construction, and to understand how these standards intersect with federal regulations and industry best practices.

This course is ideal for marine professionals seeking a strong foundation in ABYC Standards and prepares them to take the ABYC Standards certification exam, which will be administered at the conclusion of the class.
