  • Finding Some Melody in all Those Chords: Investigation of how chords and melody work together; this area of study is integral for being successful in, and understanding, improvisation, chord melody, composition, chord substitution, arranging for guitar, reharmonizing, and just having fun with music on the guitar.

  • Breaking into the Boxes: An exploration of blues sounds beyond the vocabulary of pentatonic tonality. Blues and Jazz have been linked from the start. Tim will show is how to improve our vocabulary by showing us some of the beautiful links between jazz and blues expressions.
