    This welcoming class is designed for intermediate students who wish to further develop their throwing practice. Classes will provide a firm grounding in well-crafted thrown ceramics and aid in the development of sensitivity to form, design and function. Special focus will be given to surface decoration, glaze composition and kiln firing processes.

Improv isn’t just for actors—play, create, and discover how this fun acting technique applies to everyday life. Through ensemble games and exercises participants will explore the fundamentals of improv: listening, accepting, resilience, taking risks, and teamwork.     Ease into the winter season with a beginner-friendly knitting class designed to teach you the essentials. Students will learn core skills like casting on, knitting, purling, and binding off, then apply them to create a simple pair of slippers worked in the round on four needles. Perfect for the colder months!

    The course also covers the basics of knitting tools and materials, including an introduction to different needle types, yarn quality and weight, and tips for choosing the right yarn. Students will receive guidance on where to find suitable yarn and supplies in the Seattle area so they can confidently continue their knitting journey.

    By the end of the class, participants will have a solid foundation in basic knitting skills and a completed pair of handmade slippers to help ease the chill of winter.

    Needles and yarn will be provided by the instructor. By the third class the students are encouraged to buy their own specific yarn for the slippers and can purchase needles if they wish to have their own set.
