This introductory “taster” appreciation course will provide an overview of the world of theatre. We will cover topics including script analysis, basic acting techniques, design elements, play production and production analysis. Enjoy a local theatre outing to see a modern theatrical rom-com Table 17 by Douglas Lyons at Union Arts Center. Whether you were a drama kid in school and want to get back in or have always wondered more about the art form this class is for everyone. AI tools are easy to access. Using them well in your actual work is a different thing.

This three-week course focuses on building a small, reliable set of AI habits you can put to work immediately. Each session is practical and hands-on, with exercises drawn from everyday professional tasks, such as writing, summarizing, thinking through decisions, and preparing for conversations.

You don't need a technical background to get something real out of this. Whether you've never opened an AI tool or you use one occasionally but inconsistently, you'll leave each session with something concrete you can try before the next one.

By the end of the series, you'll have a clear sense of where AI genuinely helps, where it doesn't, and how to stay in control of what it produces. That confidence comes from practice, not from memorizing features.

Bake along with Chef Michele as you learn how to create delicious French macarons (not to be confused with coconut macaroons). These cookies are made with almond flour and have a delicate crispy shell and a soft, chewy center. We will be making chocolate macarons with white chocolate raspberry ganache to fill your macarons.

Chef Michele will give you recipes and pointers for switching up your ganache to create holiday flavors like peppermint white chocolate and how to use fruit to infuse your ganache.

You will receive a class prep packet, recipes, and a video recording of the class. The class price is for two people attending from one kitchen; only one person is required to register and pay for the class.

If you’ve ever felt stuck playing the same patterns or struggled to make your music sound expressive, this class will help you move forward. You’ll work on technique and theory together, focusing on how to use chord shapes, scales, and rhythm in a way that makes your playing more musical.

The goal is to give you practical skills you can actually use when you pick up your guitar, not just abstract ideas.

Discover the fundamentals of figure drawing in this dynamic class, where we'll explore both observational accuracy and conceptual interpretation of the human form. Rooted in classical drawing techniques, this course will emphasize traditional methods of measuring proportion, constructing the figure with geometric forms, and refining drawings through careful attention to light, shadow, and edge quality. You'll learn to build the body from the inside out—starting with internal structures like the skeleton and layering external forms. We’ll also examine different ways to interpret the figure, encouraging you to push beyond naturalism and develop your own visual relationship with the human form. Open to all skill levels! This course involves drawing the nude form.

This class includes a field trip to Pioneer Square for First Thursday Artwalk on Nov 5 from 6:30P to 9:30P. Students are responsible for their own transportation to and from the field trips. Additional details will be given by your instructor.

Bellydancers are supple, feminine, earthly, mysterious, playful and strong. That dancer is you! Come learn among friends and awaken your inner fire. Build community and self-knowledge while honoring the inner divine feminine, regardless of your gender expression.

This class is perfect for new students or a great drill class for returning students. Experienced dancers can deepen their practice by working thoughtfully into the isolations and rhythms as your body and mind open and are prepared to learn more subtle nuances in these powerful foundational moves. 

In this open level class, you will learn*:

FAQ's

What should I wear to class?

Yoga or any exercise type clothes are perfect. Wearing a hip scarf will  help you see hip isolations more clearly in the mirror. You can purchase scarves with coins or beads or just grab a beautiful scarf from home that you can tie around your waist to start. Some students like to get a little more dressed up in long skirts or harem style pants with a pretty top.  There are LOTS of fun costume things that you can experiment with down the line but there really isn't much that you need to get started. 

Do I need anything else? 

Well, no, but YES!  You can enjoy class without any of these extras if they don’t fit your budget at this time. Come to class and see what other dancers are using. Then you can start to collect your own magical items.

Tired to your bones? Knees creaking like attic stairs, neck aching every time you move? This course aims to reimagine the movements, techniques, and physical expectations surrounding manual labor, empowering students to take confident control of their own body in the workplace.

All too often, physically taxing jobs expect constant athletic prowess and repetitive motion, often in inclement situations, with very little recovery time. Simply stretching for a few minutes every day is just not enough, and a 'can-do' mentality with a side of Gatorade only gets you so far.

In Labor In Motion, students will learn basic physiology, study a wide and global range of movement and strength-building techniques, reexamine what it means to protect one's body in the labor field, and create and learn to uphold their own individual safety plan. We'll learn new ways to balance weight, new ways to lift and move, and study everything from which boots to wear for what feet, to how we can wear head protection without annoyance and pain.
