Canine Behavioral Modification 1
Canine Behavioral Modification I (CBM I) is an introduction to general principles of animal behavioral modification with specific emphasis on training of dogs for personal companion as well as public service use. This course will focus primarily on the skills needed for a dog and handler to pass the AKC Canine Good Citizen test and function effectively in public spaces. This course is recommended for individuals interested in veterinary assisting, humane society careers, commercial or personal dog training, or working with therapy or service dogs. This is also an excellent starter course for dog lovers and owners who simply want to enrich their knowledge. Dog ownership or in-person dog handling is not required to participate in this course.
