Behavior is Language: Strategies for Managing Disruptive Behavior   

This course is designed to give the learner a new perspective on student behavior and effective tools to facilitate positive student change. Taught by Mick R. Jackson MS/ED, this course provides a developmental framework to help the learner understand what students are trying to communicate through the "language" of their behavior. Topics covered include behavioral techniques and intervention strategies that mediate disruptive behaviors, reduce power struggles while increasing classroom control, reduce educator workload, and help prevent burnout. After successfully completing this course, the educator and his/her students will be better equipped to find and implement creative, effective solutions to behavioral problems.

Fee: $240.00

What to Expect: This class in 100% online, either self-paced or instructor led/moderated. Students have anywhere from 3 weeks - 12 months to complete this course, starting on the date of registration. Check above for duration of access and mode of instruction. Once registered, you will be emailed instructions on how to access your online classroom. Please allow 1-3 business days after registration to receive a classroom invitation.
