Accounting with QuickBooks Online Suite

This suite of courses will teach you the fundamentals of accounting with QuickBooks Online. You'll learn the essentials of double-entry bookkeeping and managing the financial aspects of your small business quickly and efficiently using QuickBooks. Instructor moderated. 

Accounting Fundamentals: This course introduces the core principles of accounting and financial recordkeeping. Students learn account classifications, the accounting equation, and how transactions flow through journals and the general ledger. Topics include recording purchases and sales, payroll deductions, banking transactions, adjusting and closing entries, and preparing end-of-year worksheets and financial reports.

Accounting Fundamentals II: Building on foundational accounting concepts, this course explores more advanced topics including accounts payable and receivable, uncollectible accounts, plant assets and depreciation, and notes payable and receivable. Students also learn about accrued income and expenses, dividends, payroll preparation, federal tax deposits, and completing year-end worksheets, financial reports, and closing processes.

QuickBooks Online: This course provides a practical introduction to using QuickBooks Online for small business accounting. Participants learn how to set up accounts, navigate centers and lists, manage bank accounts, record income and expenses, create invoices and estimates, process bills, track billable expenses, and manage sales tax and basic reports.

Intermediate QuickBooks Online: This course expands users’ QuickBooks Online skills to support more advanced business accounting tasks. Participants learn to manage system settings, users, inventory, and products and services while customizing sales forms and tracking projects, classes, and locations. Additional topics include progress invoicing, payroll, budgeting, banking rules, multi-currency transactions, mileage tracking, and reviewing and adjusting books for accurate financial reporting.

Suite bundles are not eligible for partial drops or refunds.

What to Expect: This class in 100% online, either self-paced or instructor led/moderated. Students have anywhere from 3 weeks - 12 months to complete this course, starting on the date of registration. Check above for duration of access and mode of instruction. Once registered, you will be emailed instructions on how to access your online classroom. Please allow 1-3 business days after registration to receive a classroom invitation.
