Geology 210: Pacific Northwest Geology
The Pacific Northwest is one of the most geologically diverse and exciting regions on Earth. Geology 210 takes you on a 2 billion year adventure through the geologic evolution of the region, with emphasis on the plate tectonic relationships between the various terranes of the Northwest. Topics include the Belt Basin of the Northern Rocky Mountains, mineral districts of northeastern Washington and British Columbia, the Seven Devils region of Idaho and Oregon, the Columbia Plateau and Yellowstone, the Cascade volcanic arc, the San Juan Islands, North Cascades, and much, much, more.
