A 20 hour class to shape new, used, or recycled metal into hobby projects/yard art by using basic welding techniques. This class is for beginners/crafters, farmers, “retired and starting-a-part-time-out-of-the-garage” or even a “brush up class” opportunity for the established welders. Providing you some time and ability to have fun and make something cool using basic techniques! Students will design and provide materials for these projects. Students must furnish some supplies, clothing and safety equipment.
** Takes place at Spokane Colleges' Colville Campus (985 S Elm St, Colville, WA 99114)
Note: On the first night, the instructor will guide you through a crucial safety orientation and provide a list of materials you'll need and proper attire (long sleeves, pants covering ankles, closed toe shoes). Students who miss the safety orientation will not be allowed to enter the welding shop.

Spokane Colleges supports parents who may choose home-based instruction for their children by offering a homeschool introductory course that fulfills one of the four ways to qualify in Washington: completing a qualifying course in home-based education at a postsecondary institution or a vocational-technical institute (RCW 28A.225.010 (4)(a-c). Our parent-qualifying course is designed to be an affordable, convenient, online, self-paced course taught by a homeschool parent who encourages parents just starting their journey. It will build your confidence and arm you with strategies to acquire resources for community connection, learning, assessment, and record-keeping. The course typically takes 3 to 4 hours to complete. A certificate is awarded upon completion.

Spokane Falls Community Colleges' Step & Sculpt combines aerobic fitness and body conditioning in the same class session. Everyone is welcome to join in the fun! Participants will engage in aerobic routines set to music, using a step platform. Cardio movements may also be performed as a low-impact floor routine without the step. Students will use handheld weights, exertubes, fit-balls, weighted bars, and mats to participate in resistance training exercise activities. Equipment used in class will be provided, however, students may bring their own mat/yoga mat if they wish. Warm-up, cool down, and stretching will also be included during class time.
