Course Description: An introductory course required for all Washington State Adult Family Home Care providers and care givers. Instruction includes all elements necessary to meet state license requirements. Satisfactory completion of all units is mandated for all providers and care givers. Mandatory CASAS exam included and proctored by appointment.This class is 100% online and requires a computer with audio and video. Required English Proficiency Testing: All students are required to complete a 25 question, multiple choice, English proficiency exam. Students who register for the course will be sent information on how to login to complete this exam in the days before the first class day. It is free and fully online.

Course Description: Obtain your HCA in 75 hours of on-ground training. Training will provide DSHS certifications in dementia care and mental health care. This training is the minimum requirement for employment with home care agencies, assisted living facilities, adult family home caregivers and owners, individual state contracted personal care workers, group homes, and any other direct care workers providing home or community-based services to the elderly or people with functional or developmental disabilities. *ETP Eligible

Brush up on your HCA/NAC skills prior to taking your state skills test, or get updated skills for a job. This 4 hour class will enable students to practice their care-giving skills in our lab under the supervision of a trained professional in the industry.

This 1-day course is for providers in long term care settings. Learners will obtain an introduction to mental disorders and gain basic communication skills. DSHS approved certificate upon successfully passing exam with an 80% or better. *ETP Eligible
