
Course Description: The phlebotomy program prepares individuals to draw blood specimens for testing purposes. The program integrates our ‘foundations of healthcare’ content in safety, A&P, communications, etc; followed by practical training to use a variety of blood drawing techniques, prepare and maintain laboratory supplies and equipment and appropriately set-up for laboratory testing. Theoretical and clinical experience and will follow the ASMT guidelines. *ETP Eligible

Online & In-Person: The lecture portion of this class is offered in live, instructor-led, real-time sessions in a classroom environment with online sessions for support. Students must attend class during the class dates and times listed above and must have a computer with video and audio to participate in online sessions. Computers are available on campus if needed. Labs will be held in-person. Clinicals will be at various sites in the Spokane area.
