This two-hour training provides essential knowledge and practical guidance for individuals who may be exposed to blood or other potentially infectious materials (OPIM) in the workplace. Participants will learn how to recognize, prevent, and respond to exposure risks in alignment with OSHA’s Bloodborne Pathogens Standard (29 CFR 1910.1030).

Course Description: This 1-day course will help the caregiver discover how different types of dementia affect the elderly within the long-term care population. Students learn how to communicate effectively with dementia clients and their families, gain tools to recognize the signs/symptoms of dementia and delirium, how to respond effectively to challenging behaviors, and issues surrounding activities of daily living.
