This 8-hour class prepares students with the necessary knowledge and skills to enhance the safety of both workers and drivers in a workzone.  Students who successfully pass the open-book knowledge exam with a score of 80% or better will receive a Washington certification card that is valid for 3 years and can be used in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Montana. *ETP Eligible

** A valid State ID or Drivers License is required to receive a card.**

Welding Fundamentals

Build confidence and practical skills as you learn the basics of MIG and stick welding, metal cutting, and shop safety. This hands-on 20-hour welding course gives you the experience using real tools and working with different types of metal. This course is perfect for beginners or anyone looking to start welding with a strong foundation. 

Note: On the first night, the instructor will guide you through a crucial safety orientation and provide a list of materials you'll need and proper attire (long sleeves, pants covering ankles, closed toe shoes). Students who miss the safety orientation will not be allowed to enter the welding shop.

Student supplies: Metal for projects (steel, aluminum, titanium, stainless steel) and safety glasses.

Fee: $275.00

Intro to Technical Tree Climbing

REGISTRATION FOR THIS CLASS IS CLOSED. This class is already in session.

The goal of this course is to provide students with the skills to climb trees in a safe and efficient manner. The course will cover techniques for tree inspection, setting lines, work positioning, ascending and knot tying. For beginning and experienced tree workers as well as recreational tree climbers.

Students will need to bring the following supplies to the first day of class: Atlas gloves, Z87+ eyewear, and hiking boots.
