An Introductory Arboriculture course which may be beneficial for individuals preparing for the International Society of Arboriculture certification exam. This class provides an introduction to the science behind arboriculture for the working arborist, or for those who are interested in the field. Topics include basic plant biology, tree selection, installation, the tree-soil connection, pruning, nutrient management, diagnosis and integrated pest management.
It is recommended that the students purchase the ISA Certified Arborist Study Guide, 4th edition for the Arborist Certification Exam, but it is not required for this course.

Build confidence and practical skills as you learn the basics of MIG and stick welding, metal cutting, and shop safety. This hands-on 20-hour welding course gives you the experience using real tools and working with different types of metal. This course is perfect for beginners or anyone looking to start welding with a strong foundation.
Note: On the first day, the instructor will guide you through a crucial safety orientation and provide a list of materials you'll need and proper attire (long sleeves, pants covering ankles, closed toe shoes). Students who miss the safety orientation will not be allowed to enter the welding shop.
Student supplies: Metal for projects (steel, aluminum, titanium, stainless steel) and safety glasses.
