This is an Alternative Training opportunity for licensed providers (such as licensed mental health counselors and other health care providers). The 15-credit online program meets the educational requirements for Alternative Training (WAC 246-811) for Substance Use Disorder Professional.
The following fully licensed professionals are eligible for Alternative Training (WAC 246-811):
Advanced registered nurse practitioner under chapter 18.79 RCW
Licensed marriage and family therapist, mental health counselor, advanced social worker, or independent clinical social worker under chapter 18.225 RCW
Psychologist under chapter 18.83 RCW
Osteopath physician under chapter 18.57 RCW
Osteopathic physician assistant under chapter 18.57A RCW Physician under chapter 18.71 RCW; or
Physician assistant under chapter 18.71A RCW.
