Those who successfully complete this training will earn a nationally recognized certificate as someone who is able to use an external automated defibrillator, someone who can perform cardio-pulmonary resuscitation, and respond as a first aid responder. *ETP Eligible

Course Description:  This two-hour training provides essential knowledge and practical guidance for individuals who may be exposed to blood or other potentially infectious materials (OPIM) in the workplace. Participants will learn how to recognize, prevent, and respond to exposure risks in alignment with OSHA’s Bloodborne Pathogens Standard (29 CFR 1910.1030).

Learn to manufacture vaccines and other therapeutic products for the growing biotechnology industry in just 10 weeks - no degree or science background required. Upon completion, graduates will be prepared for entry-level roles at regional biomanufacturing companies with competitive wages. ESL level 6. *ETP Eligible. Through hands-on training, participants will gain the knowledge and skills needed for entry-level technician roles in regional biomanufacturing companies. Two common career pathways include:

• Manufacturing Process Technician – Operate and maintain equipment in sterile manufacturing areas while following procedures to ensure product quality. Starting wage is $22/hour.

• Environmental Monitoring Technician – Monitor air and surface cleanliness in cleanroom environments to ensure safe production of injectable drug products. Starting wage is $22/hour.

Upon successful completion of the program, students will guranteed an interview with Jubliant HollisterSteir for an entry-level role with room for growth.

Course Description: The phlebotomy program prepares individuals to draw blood specimens for testing purposes. The program integrates our ‘foundations of healthcare’ content in safety, A&P, communications, etc; followed by practical training to use a variety of blood drawing techniques, prepare and maintain laboratory supplies and equipment and appropriately set-up for laboratory testing. Optimal Healing Environments (OHEs) are those environments in which characteristics of the individuals, and various elements of the organization, are focused on social, psychological, physical, cultural, and spiritual components that support and enhance the inherent healing capacities of the individuals who live and work in the environment. Healing relationships, the powerful effect of evidence-based design and all its elements (color, sound, light, art), a focus on nature, the impact of technology on health, and the important environment aspects of health such as clean air and water are all explored in this innovative certificate program.

Course Description: This 1-day course will help the caregiver discover how different types of dementia affect the elderly within the long-term care population. Students learn how to communicate effectively with dementia clients and their families, gain tools to recognize the signs/symptoms of dementia and delirium, how to respond effectively to challenging behaviors, and issues surrounding activities of daily living. DSHS approved certificate upon passing written exam with 80% or better.

Course Description: Obtain your HCA in 75 hours of on-ground training. Training will provide DSHS certifications in dementia care and mental health care. This training is the minimum requirement for employment with home care agencies, assisted living facilities, adult family home caregivers and owners, individual state contracted personal care workers, group homes, and any other direct care workers providing home or community-based services to the elderly or people with functional or developmental disabilities. *ETP Eligible

This 1-day course is for providers in long term care settings. Learners will obtain an introduction to mental disorders and gain basic communication skills. DSHS approved certificate upon successfully passing exam with an 80% or better. *ETP Eligible

With the occupation demand at an all-time high, after successfully completing this patient care technician program and certification exam, you can become a technician primarily focused on direct patient care and support within a hospital, clinic, long-term care facility, or home health care. ou will learn how to apply knowledge and skills to provide individualized basic nursing care to a diverse population of patients and how to problem solve and use critical thinking skills within the PCT scope of practice while fostering a positive patient outcome. Prepare for the Certified Patient Care Technician (CPCT) certification exam through the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) or for the Patient Care Technician (PCTC) certification through the American Medical Certification Association (AMCA), leading industry-recognized credentials for today's patient care technicians. This certificate program examines workplace violence, domestic (intimate partner) violence, elder abuse, child abuse, pediatric abusive head trauma, and sexual assault, gender violence, and rape. The outcome of this certificate program is for the learner to describe several key types of violence, risk factors specific to those types of violence, assessment and treatment options, and prevention measures to reduce the incidence of violence. Self-paced.
